[VIDEO] Best 10 Goals by Argentina on World Cups

This is the first post of the serie “Bet 10 Goals”, where we are looking for the Best Goals by each team on World Cup. Let’s start with Argentina and, maybe, the best goal in history of World Cups.

1) Maradona to England – Semi Final, Mexico 1986

The best goal scored by a human in a World Cup. Not only because the skills, the definition and the 50 meter run, but also because of what this goal meant. Passing english players, in a Semi Final and scoring after leaving the goalkeeper sleeping on the ground, is not something you see every day. Watch and learn.

2) Maxi Rodriguez to Mexico – Quarter of Final, Germany 2006

When you are having a tough day, a goal like this can make you feel that god exists. Maxi Rodriguez scores after a great team play, stoping the ball with his chest and kicking the ball to a place that you can repeat only once after 1000 tries.

3) Caniggia to Brazil – Quarter of Final,  Italy 1990

Maybe the most passionate football classic in the world. Argentina vs. Brasil. You might remember this game as the one where the crossbar was the 12th Argentinean player. After a magnificent pass from Diego Maradona, Claudio Paul Caniggia leaves the goal keeper in the floor and scoring the goal that let Argentina move to Semifinals.

4)  Burruchaga a Alemania, Mexico 1986

What do you do when you have the ball in the middle of the field, you are playing the final match of the World Cup and there are 11 Germany players who wants to stop you? You run. At least, that’s what Jorge Burruchaga did after receiving this pass from Diego Maradona in Mexico 86 World Cup Final.

5)  Maradona a Grecia (1994)

This is what happens when a man born to play football comes backs after months of training and thinking about a moment. See how Argentina moves the ball, and see the eyes of revenge. Sadly, Maradona didn’t pass the antidoping test and was the end of Argentina emotionaly.

6) Cambiasso to Serba and Montenegro – Germany 2006

The best goal of 2006 World Cup. An impressive team play by Argentina, ends in goal by Cambiasso, on the 5-0 by Argentina against Serbia and Montenegro

7) Maradona to Belgium  (1986)

Maradona giving a slalom lesson to Belgium. A ballet dancer waist move and a champion celebration.

8) Caniggia a Nigeria (1994)

Claudio Paul Caniggia shouts “Diego! Diego!”, Maradona sees him and before the Nigerian realizes, he passes the goal, to Caniggia who puts the ball agains the net.

9) Kempes a Holanda (1978)

10) Zanetti a Inglaterra (1998)

This might be an excelent example of tactic planning on free kicks. Daniel Passarella should be proud.
